Italia-Bilbo Gazte trukea Day 2

Today we went to a town called Getxo, it is near Bilbao. There we saw a windmill and a big old castle. After we saw clives. Then we went to the beach under the town and some of us swam in the sea ( the water was very cold!). After swimming we had lunch together and when we finished we played an italian game(we had a lot of fun!!).


At half past five we decided to come back to Bilbao and we took the subway. When we arrived we had some free time, and at 7 o’clock we returned to the «Gaztegune».

Now we are waiting for other guys who came today.

The first day of the exchange went well. The Italians arrived around 7 pm. and the Bascos arrived at 6pm at the metro of Castel Viejo. Before the arrival of the Italians, the Bascos made welcome posters written in different languages. The Italians started their journey at Linate airport at 10.30 am. where they flew to Madrid  and then to Bilbao. When everyone was in Gastegune we exchanged names and then had dinner. After dinner,  we played a game to remember each others names. At 10 pm. the group got to the hostel and settled in and by midnight everyone was quiet. All in all, a good first day!

Holandatik!! (CEAL Network – Utrecht)

A través de estas líneas voy a contaros la experiencia vivida en Utrecht estos días pasados. Aún tengo fresco el olor de los tulipanes y guardo muy bien en mis retinas esos paisajes y casitas bonitas que veíamos al pasar con la bici.

Del 15 al 19 de abril estuvimos en el tercer encuentro de “partners” del proyecto Ceal – Network, en esta ocasión fuimos desde Bizkaia cuatro personas, Izaskun y Zihortza del Mercado de Abastos de Portugalete (Merkatua), Alex de Kiribil Sarea y yo, María, de Fundación EDE.

Nuestro propósito y tarea principal era compartir lo trabajado, aprendido y vivido en #oasismerkatua, gracias a Josu, nuestro “cuenta todo” particular, nuestra presentación fue un gran cartel lleno de fotos, que llamó la atención y nos sirvió de herramienta principal para transmitir lo que sucedió en nuestro piloto.

Por otro lado, también a través del resto de las presentaciones, pudimos conocer qué había pasado en el resto de territorios, cómo se habían desarrollado, qué había sucedido en el oasis, qué características tenían, similitudes y diferencias, haciendo que de esta manera los objetivos y expectativas que teníamos en relación a este punto, se cumplieran con creces.

El programa era muy completo, además de conocer el resto de experiencias, hicimos visitas a iniciativas individuales y comunitarias, relacionadas con un “nuevo” (o en auge) concepto, el emprendizaje comunitario, del cual también hablamos y discutimos; hicimos un taller de “story telling”, muy interesante y productivo, en el cual aprendimos algunas pistas para escribir relatos, que más adelante en otras entradas de este blog compartiremos. También tuvimos momentos de ocio y visita en bici por la ciudad.

Para mí lo más importante de todo, fueron los momentos de convivencia (trabajo o no),  donde aprendemos a relacionarnos con otras, de otras maneras, momentos que cambian el  “chip” mental, momentos que dan valor a la comunicación entre las personas, desde las personas, momentos en los que podemos crear juntas, en los que nos encontramos y nos reconocemos, en los que nos sentimos también incómodas y lo aceptamos, aceptamos la frustración e intentamos superarla, siendo conscientes de que algunas veces la superamos y otras no… todo ello por algo colectivo. Momentos en los que valen más una sonrisa y un abrazo, que las palabras en sí mismas.

Este encuentro especial y bonito también se dio entre nosotras, Izaskun, Zihortza y yo, recordando cómo no, a las otras dos personas (Zuriñe y Minerva) que completan el quinteto del equipo motor del oasis que se hizo en Portugalete. Experiencia vital para cada una de nosotras, de las 5; para el grupo de jugadoras y para la comunidad del Casco Viejo de dicha villa.

Ha sido impresionante lo vivido y lo que se genera entre nosotras como personas, grupos, organizaciones, para seguir construyendo de manera colectiva.

Todo esto no acaba aquí, tenemos s nuevos retos, grandes retos, que iremos contando en este blog, historias y experiencias que son en sí mismas relatos de aprendizajes.

Entre estos retos y en concreto dentro de Ceal-Network, se nos presentan dos muy interesantes, el análisis y la traducción de los aprendizajes realizados a competencias adquiridas.

Estos últimos puntos son los que nos tocan trabajar ahora, después de la acción, intervención, relación, experiencia vivida, ¿Qué hemos aprendido? ¿Cómo lo traducimos a competencias y habilidades? ¿Cómo lo trasladamos a los espacios de formación/educación?

Estas y más preguntas las seguiremos desarrollando en el próximo encuentro en Berlín!!!

Si, si, a finales de mayo allá nos vamos! Así que os seguiremos contando!

CEAL Network in Bilbao

The CEAL Network developed a midterm gathering in Bilbao, (Basque Country – Spain) during the second weekend of January, (from 15th to 17th of January 2016).

The goal of this meeting was checking and evaluates the first part of this European Project and planning the second part.

The participants in this gathering were Alex, (Kiribil – Basque Country), Mara (Elos Nederlands), Johannes, (Edventure Frome – UK), Helmut, (Ideenhoch3 – Germany), Sebastian and Dorien (Act4change – Belgium), Javi and Marta (Altekio – Madrid) and Niels, (Coordinator of the project).

The participants arrived to Bilbao during the Friday afternoon and they had time before dinner to visit Bolunta and Kiribil Sarea and explain and talk about these organizations.

Bolunta is a project for supporting the work of volunteers and nonprofit organizations in Biscay, (one of the three Basque historical regions), it is developed in collaboration between a private Bank, the regional government of Biscay and EDE Fundazioa, (educational partner in CEAL Network and local partner of Kiribil Sarea).

Bolunta offers counseling and trainings in order to facilitate the work of the volunteers and their organizations, and it is an example of the possibilities of the collaboration among, civil sector, private companies and public institutions.

Kiribil Sarea is a network of nonprofit institutions of local social initiatives that work for community empowerment through socio-educational programs at the municipal level.
After this visit the groups could sightseeing a little bit around the old town of Bilbao and enjoy the traditional “pintxos” for dinner.

The Saturday was a day full of work and meetings, during the morning the group evaluated the goals achieved during the first part of the project, and after a coffee break, they established the project calendar for 2016.

After the lunch the group debated about the intellectual outputs of the project and how will be the best form for create it and what will be the most useful for other youth leaders in order to replicate the project in the near future.

Later, the participants visited Portugaleteko Merkatua, this project is a community partner in CEAL Network and the place where the Oasis game under the Pilot program in Basque Country will be celebrate during the two following weeks.

Portugaleteko Merkatua is a social project, managed in an assembly way by the neighborhood, that want to give a community use to the former indoor marketplace that nowadays is close.

The Sunday morning was time to specify about the next steps of CEAL Network and the project results sharing.

And the Sunday afternoon, after an intense two-days gathering the participants came back home with a CEAL Network calendar full of events and work for 2016.
